I will teach your partner...how to massage you using simple yet effective techniques
I will assist you to explore...and try all the various labour positions you can use when in labour at home and at your place of birth
I will address a labouring woman’s needs...mentally, physically and emotionally
We will discuss...the hormones of labour and how they can assist you to remain in a wonderful labour state
I can assist you to feel strong and confident...in your body and its ability to birth…without a doubt. Through gaining an understanding of what is happening to your uterine muscles, the hormones, and the pelvis during the stages of labour you will be better equipped to just allow your labour to flow. Birth is actually about surrendering to a natural process that we need not interrupt, or tamper with unless needed or necessary
We will talk...about the type of food and drinks suitable to have when in labour and why it is important to have a little of something
I will go through the stages of labour...looking at the signs, behaviours and things a woman can do when going through that stage and how your partner can support you
A the end of this workshop you will be asked to work on your ten top wants and needs list: the things that you would really love to have happen when in your labour state.
