From 16 weeks into my pregnancy, I attended Gaby's Pregnancy
Aquarobics classes and found them most enjoyable. Not only
did I feel great after the exercise and relaxation, but the
knowledge and positive vibes that Gaby passed on to us women
was invaluable. Fantastic to be amongst heaps of pregnant
women also!
Around 26 weeks, I went along to Gaby's "4 week journey
In" classes which had a strong focus on hypnosis in birthing.
Gaby went through stages of labour and how to avoid medical
intervention in labour.
This was great and definitely helped me to not fear labouring
at home as much as I could. The breathing and hypnosis made
the contractions bearable as I surrendered to them and went
to that primal place that women go when birthing. I felt empowered
and completely trusted my body to function as it is designed.
My partner Andrew was quite reluctant to attend Gaby's "Supporting
a woman in Labour" workshop, but because I raved on about
how positive Gaby's other workshops and exercise classes made
me feel, he agreed. This was the best investment we made.
Andrew came out feeling really positive & we shared our
feelings about how I would like to birth. Throughout my labour
and birth he was amazingly calming and supporting. He knew
what to say and do and most importantly, he knew what my body
and mind were going through.
I really do believe that if I didn't meet Gaby, I wouldn't
have been so confident to birth naturally in a drug free way.
With so much negativity and fear surrounding birth these days,
it is fantastic that Gaby is restoring women’s faith
in themselves to birth naturally without fear.
